A friend of mine turned me on to this coffee, on my first order of both Whiskey Barrell and Kraken’s Wrath, the fresh roast showed up within 3 days of my order. The smell was unbelievable! The Whiskey Barrell coffee is likely my favorite smell yet, upon grinding and adding the water in my French press, the foam atop was proof of how fresh it was(intensity is even better with the mocha pot). The flavor is also 1 of the 2 best coffees I’ve ever had, the other was at a fly fishing lodge in southern Mexico, only miles from the grow site. I have an almost pathological preference to Central Americans beans(Guatemalan/Southern Mx) and the aging of these beans in the Whiskey Barrell even improves on that, removing the need for sweeteners or additives, I simply add some heavy cream, and it’s the smoothest cup out there! 10/10 recommend, ordering my next bag now!
